Besides its picturesque castle, turquoise reservoir and cobbled Old Town, Guadalest has a total of nine museums.<\/strong> Yes, you read that right, nine museums are located in this small town in Alicante. Below, we highlight the best of each of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. House Museum of the Ordu\u00f1a family<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This museum is a typical house of a family that lived in El Castell de Guadalest, but it is not just any family, but the people who were in the service of the Marquises Ordu\u00f1a as governors of the fortress and governors of their estates.<\/strong> Thanks to its good preservation, it was decided to transform it into a house museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this house, which is open to the public, the original furniture of the period, all the decorative elements, the rooms of the building and the large library have been preserved perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a three-storey building house with more than seventy pieces and instruments used for torture in medieval times<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Museum of Historic Vehicles Vall de Guadalest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you are passionate about vintage cars, this is definitely the museum for you. It is a collection of some 140 motorbikes and several original microcars, dating from the 1920s to the 1970s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you opt for the bus, the best option is to take the 016 bus which also takes 30 minutes and costs between \u20ac1 and \u20ac4.<\/strong> This line is spread out over different parts of Benidorm, so you’ll have no excuse to visit this charming Mediterranean town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
