Benidorm transportation
If you want to get around the city, all you have to do is choose one of the following Benidorm transport options.
By walking
Let’s start by saying that the best way to get around Benidorm is on foot. Yes, walking is the best way to get around Benidorm. It’s true that it’s a city with a lot to see, but at the same time it’s not too big. That’s why, if you’re staying in the centre, you can comfortably walk to both the Levante and Poniente.

Moreover, if you choose to walk to your destination you can enjoy the almost always pleasant climate and also walk along the sea. Remember that the inland streets of the town also have great charm and you can take advantage of your walk to do some shopping.
To give you an idea of how practical it is to walk to places in Benidorm, walking from one end of the town to the other can take between two and three hours.
City bus
If you are walking to your destination, you can make the return trip by bus and this transport is also a great option for your daily travel. There are around 20 bus lines in the town, with over 200 stops.
Of course, you can get to the beach by bus and also return to your hotel using the same means of transport. Not forgetting that it is the perfect way to get to the theme parks you will find in the area, such as Aqualandia, Terra Mítica, Terra Natura, Aqua Natura or Mundo bar.
When it comes to using the bus, you can buy a single ticket, a 10-day ticket and there are also tourist cards that give you access for 24 hours, a couple of days or even a week. Consider your options carefully to make bus travel as economical as possible for you.
Panoramic bus
The panoramic bus is another option for getting around Benidorm. In this case, it’s not just about getting to your destination, but also about getting to know interesting points of the city and admiring the views offered by this transport.
Furthermore, Benidorm offers a wide range of services, with four different lines:
- Line 30. It starts at Rincón de Loix, passes along Avenida del Mediterráneo and Paseo de Poniente and arrives at Cala de Finestrat. You will pass close to the Mediterranean balcony to visit it.
- Line 31. It also starts its route in the Rincón de Loix and continues along the Avenidas Ametlla de Mar and Severo Ochoa. It then goes to the beaches of Albir and Altea. These two buses have two floors, the last one uncovered.
- Line 16. It takes you to the village of Guadalest.
- Line 18. Goes to the well known Fuentes del Algar.
Tourist bus
In addition to the panoramic buses, there is also the tourist bus, which is perfect for getting to know the city in depth. Its shape is reminiscent of a tram. During the journey, which lasts about an hour, you can listen to a description of the route in different languages.
The route includes some of the most emblematic places of the town, such as the Poniente Beach, the Old Town, the Bali Hotel or the Rincón de Loix. You can catch the bus at one of the three stops distributed throughout the city.
One of the advantages of this bus is that you can get off at one of these three stops, walk around, get back on the bus and continue your journey. In fact, you can take the bus as many times as you like during the day once you have bought your ticket.

Tram
Once you know the city of Benidorm well, you may want to visit other nearby towns and cities, in which case we recommend you take the Tram.
There are two lines at your disposal. With line 1 you can get to Alicante, Terra Mítica, Villajoyosa or El Campello, among other destinations. If you choose line 9, you can go to Denia, El Albir, Altea, Calpe and other towns in the area.
Taxi
The taxi is a transport that offers many advantages in Benidorm. There are up to 25 taxi ranks, so you can get anywhere quickly.
Bicycle
The bicycle is the perfect transport for a city like Benidorm. You can use your own or rent one in the area. You will be able to cycle around the town and at the same time exercise, without a doubt an ideal plan.
