Do you know that it is estimated that more than 100 million photos are uploaded to Instagram every day? It’s true that many of these images correspond to the day-to-day lives of people who live a life outside the networks, but many others are the responsibility of those known as influencers. In both cases, there are always moments to capture unforgettable scenes. From Hotel Don Pancho we invite you to get to know the area and discover the best Benidorm viewpoint. You will take away an incredible memory of your holiday in every sense of the word.

Benidorm’s viewpoint: which is the best?
One of the best things about Benidorm is that there is not just one viewpoint in Benidorm, but several from which you can enjoy incredible views. It’s one of the best plans at any time of the day, but especially at sunrise and sunset.
It is true that some of them are located in tourist buildings in the area, but we would like to focus on other more traditional and emblematic buildings in the town.
1. Cross Viewpoint (La Cruz)
The Cross Viewpoint (La Cruz) is undoubtedly the best known of all Benidorm’s viewpoints. It is situated on one of the mountains of the Sierra Helada, but is only 237 metres high. The views are truly spectacular, as you can see a large part of La Marina Baja.
Its history is quite curious, as some believers placed the cross in the sixties to forgive the locality for the sins they believed were being committed. In 1975, a storm destroyed it and it was replaced by another one. Years later the one we know today was installed.
It is easy to reach by car from the Avenida del Mediterráneo, you will find a car park and then a staircase that you can easily climb.
Films have been filmed in the area, people have gone hiking and some have placed the urn with the ashes of their loved ones.
2. The Mediterranean Viewpoint
It has nothing to envy in terms of popularity to the previous viewpoint. Its location is truly spectacular. To give you an idea of where it is, it’s in the Plaza del Castell at Punta Canfali. On each side is a part of the Bay of Benidorm and you can see both the Levante and Poniente beaches. In the background you can see Benidorm Island and the immensity of the Mediterranean Sea.
The base of the Mediterranean viewpoint is pentagonal and has recently been renovated. A lamppost has been removed and some of the tiles have been replaced. In any case, it has always been one of the most photographed places and even more so now with the social networks.
3. Puig Campana
Only those who have had the privilege of climbing to the top of the most famous mountain in the area and with the most legends associated with its shape, can appreciate its incredible views.
Some say that the missing piece of Puig Campana is the island of Benidorm. It is supposed that someone kicked the mountain and the gash reached the sea, but of course this is just a legend.
By the way, although we consider it to be a Benidorm viewpoint for its views, to be fair it is located in nearby Finestrat. Although it’s well worth a visit, we can’t deny that it’s a bit of a tricky climb. If you feel ready to start the journey, don’t hesitate any time. When you are at the top, it will be clear to you that it was worth it.
4. The Tossal de la Cala Viewpoint
At the end of the Poniente beach you will find the Tossal de la Cala viewpoint. It divides the towns of Benidorm and Finestrat. It is just over 100 metres high and is easily accessible by car.
A curious fact is that next to this viewpoint there is a site that is being excavated. Experts claim that it is the oldest settlement in the area. However, they do not agree on its origin, as it was first thought to be Iberian and in recent times it has been thought to be older.
5. The viewpoint of Sierra Cortina
This is another viewpoint located on a mountain, but in this case at a much lower altitude. You can enjoy truly spectacular views of all the skyscrapers of Benidorm, the Sierra Helada and the Bay of Benidorm. To access the area you have to go in the direction of La Nucía. It is true that it is well signposted, but if you don’t know the area, it is better to find out how to get there first.
The good thing is that the Sierra Cortina viewpoint is not very busy and you won’t have to wait to see the views or to take the best photos of your summer.
And speaking of summer, at Hotel Don Pancho we are waiting for you at this time of the year and at any other time of the year. We will help you discover the best viewpoint in Benidorm.
